How To Make Money From Your Old Video Games, Pokemon Cards And Magic Cards

If you have old video games, pokemon cards or magic cards at home and are not sure what to do with them, then you've come to the right place!

I know as a kid, I loved collecting and trading pokemon cards. Always dragging my parents out to the local game shop so I could see the special cards behind the glass. I'd imagine how cool it would be to show off a shiny new Charizard in my card binder to all my friends. Sound familiar?

Fast forward to today, maybe you still have those cards sitting at home (or your parents home), and always wondered if your sitting on a secret fortune.

But.. how do you know the value? Who's going to buy them?

You can check card or video game prices at many different sites. A few of our favorites here:

ebay.ca
pricecharting.com
tcgplayer.com (also on the app)
delverlab.com

When it comes to selling, there's a few options:

1) Sell them to friends!
Yes, the easy option. If you have friends, or kids who enjoy cards or video games, you can always sell (or give) them to a friend.

2) Facebook Marketplace.
This is another option to start selling cards or collectibles. There are always local buyers looking to scoop up on old pokemon cards, magic cards or video games.

3) Kijiji.
Similar to above, Kijiji is another great local market place where you can sell collectibles.

While the above selling options will sometimes work, they do have a downside. Sometimes buyers are only looking for certain items and will pick out 1 or 2 items from your collection. Some will haggle and offer low prices. The time commitment to research prices, take photos and write descriptions is lengthy. And scheduling times to pick up with buyers is less than reliable.

That's where the 4th option comes in!

4) Sell to gtgames.ca!

Mail in your trading cards or video games for CASH or Store Credit at gtgames.ca. No matter how big or small, new or used, we will buy your entire collection!

Make the selling process easy by mailing your items as a single lot, let GT Games do the work of selling each individual item.
